Rahim Fazal of Sayreville, NJ, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 1st, 2019 at home. He was 40 years old.
Born in New York City, NY, Rahim lived most of his life in Sayreville, NJ and often traveled to "the city" with friends and family. Rahim graduated from Kean University with a Master’s degree in Business Finance and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in NY where he put in countless hours to be a part of the best influencers of the fashion world. Rahim was an actor, model, dancer, and lifelong learner. He was extremely proud and honored to be the first generation of his family to complete such an important milestone. He truly valued the importance of having a good education and made it a priority in the lives of his younger siblings. Growing up, Rahim would often babysit his younger brother and sister and played a pivotal role in their upbringing. "I want you to have the things I never did when I was growing up," he would often tell them.
He was such a loving, caring, and charismatic person and bestowed that upon not only his family, but his friends as well. When he wasn't at the beach swimming in the ocean, he was soaking up the sun's rays from atop the roof of their home... His secret to the perfect tan was using Pepsi Cola as a tanning oil.
Rahim loved to eat chocolate! Chocolate cake, chocolate cookies, and chocolate ice cream were some of his favorites. He was also obsessed with archeology and Egypt! He just loved to learn about the history of ancient artifacts and would often take trips with his sister Jenny and brother Jeremy to museums. Most of all, Rahim absolutely adored Madonna. Her music, her style, her fashion, her life... Rahim was indisputably Madonna's number 1 fan. His funeral service is even Madonna-themed!
Rahim is survived by his mother and father, Josephine and Faiz Fazal. His dear brothers, Yoosof and wife Debra Fazal of Cedarburg, Wisconsin and their children, Gia, Macie and Chase; Karim and husband Dr. James Patrick O’Sullivan of Philadelphia, PA; Jeremy Fazal of Sayreville, NJ; Sister, Jennifer and her husband Bryan Ellison of Orlando, Florida; and many loving friends. He is deeply loved and will be truly missed by all.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Rahim's life, Saturday, July 6th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Raritan Bay Funeral Service, 241 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy, NJ. Cremation will be private. For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit www.raritanbayfunerals.com
