Mayid Ambra, 82, of Morganville, NJ, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away on March 29th at his home, in the arms of his loving family.
Mayid was born on September 21, 1938 in Palmira, Valle del Cauca, Colombia. Chasing the American Dream, he moved to Elizabeth, NJ, in hopes of making a better life for his family. He relocated to Linden, NJ, where he resided until moving to Morganville, NJ in 2021.
Mayid had a passion for the outdoors and loved fishing. He established his career as a mechanic, where he met his lifelong friends. His grandchildren were his true pride and joy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gerardina (Gina) Jaramillo, three children; Diana Rodriguez (Ambra), Ximena Sanin, and Jose Mayid Ambra, several grandchildren; Andrea, Brylen, Jose-Andres, Isabella, Valentina, Alejandro, Leandra, and Nadiya, his siblings; Esquer Ambra and Gladys Ambra, son-in-law; Gustavo Sanin, and daughter-in-law; Carolina Ambra.
Predeceased by his parents; Berta Elena Ramirez and Manuel Ambra, and his first wife; Gladys Ambra.

Mayid Ambra, 82, de Morganville, Nueva Jersey, amado esposo, padre, abuelo y hermano falleció el 29 de marzo en su casa, en los brazos de su amada familia.
Mayid nació el 21 de Septiembre de 1938 en Palmira, Valle del Cauca, Colombia. Persiguiendo el Sueño Americano, se mudó a Elizabeth, Nueva Jersey, con la esperanza de mejorar la vida de su familia. Se mudó a Linden, Nueva Jersey, donde residió hasta que se mudó a Morganville, Nueva Jersey en 2021.
Mayid tenía una pasión por el aire libre y le encantaba pescar. Estableció su carrera como mecánico, donde conoció a sus amigos de toda la vida. Sus nietos eran su verdadero orgullo y alegría.
Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Gerardina (Gina) Jaramillo, tres hijos; Diana Rodríguez (Ambra), Ximena Sanín y José Mayid Ambra, varios nietos; Andrea, Brylen, Jose-Andres, Isabella, Valentina, Alejandro, Leandra, y Nadiya, sus hermanos; Esquer Ambra y Gladys Ambra, y su yerno; Gustavo Sanin y nuera; Carolina Ambra.
Fallecido por sus padres; Berta Elena Ramírez y Manuel Ambra, y su primera esposa; Gladys Ambra.
