Kacy Hannah was born on March 14th 1980 to Octavia Rogers. She had 2 sisters by her mother; Tracy Morgan & Catherine Rogers, and multiple other paternal siblings in Atlanta GA including her sister, Joanna Mahoney.
Kacy lived a large portion of her early life in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. She grew up in a house full of love and quite a bit of energy (to say the least), Surrounded by her adoring grandmother- the late Augustine Casimir, grandfather- the late Dominique Casimir and a plethora of aunts, uncles and cousins. She later re-located to New Jersey where she lived with her loving mother, Octavia Rogers, Step father Terrence Rogers, and her sisters Tracy and Catherine.
Kacy was a fun loving, free spirit. She loved moving around, finding the next ‘big thing' that was happening and she loved to just enjoy life to the fullest. She was as honest as a person can come. She never left a person guessing how she felt about them. If she disliked you, she'd let you know, and if she loved you, she'd let you know. She was fearless in an age where everyone is afraid of offending someone else-which was quite brave. Kacy often stood up for herself when she was being wronged by people of this world, but what I most remember about her is how often she stood up for others. When she loved, she loved hard-and she would do anything and everything in her power to defend those she cared about.
Kacy was very proud to be from the V.I. and I believe Carnival ran in her blood. The joy that would light up her face as she partook in the dancing and celebrations was priceless. But that joy was nothing compared to the joy that lit up her face when she spoke of her children.
Kacy had six children, all of whom she loved dearly. Daliah Brown, Andre Williams, Santana Frederick, Cyanna Hannah, Charlie Frederick, and Isaiah Frederick. Sadly, Kacy was predeceased by her beloved son, Santana Zeus Frederick. His untimely passing was and is extremely hard for the family. There is some comfort in knowing they are once again together in Heaven.
Kacy's life ended too soon for our liking, but we all know she was called home by her heavenly Father in His time. She passed away on March 23rd, 2023 at home in the arms of her mother.
She will forever be missed and will be remembered as being so very full of life, zest, spice, plenty of music (especially reggae), and dancing c'yan done.
Kacy is survived by her mother and step father: Octavia and Terrence Rogers, sisters Tracy Morgan, Catherine Rogers, Joanna Mahoney, multiple other siblings in ATL Georgia, her children Daliah Brown, Andre Williams, Cyanna Hanna, Charlie Frederick, and Isaiah Frederick, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and of course many friends.
