Audrey A Johnson

Audrey Johnson, born on July 23, 1932, passed away on April 30th, 2024. She is preceded in death by her father, James F. Johnson, her mother, Alethia (nee Towe) Johnson, her sister Marlene Johnson Illidge, and her niece Viola A. Illidge. She is survived by her nephew, Frank T. Illidge.

Born in Staten Island, New York, Audrey spent her career working in Manhattan. Upon retirement, she devoted herself to caring for her parents and supporting her late niece Viola and nephew Frank after they lost their parents.

Audrey was a member of Shiloh AME Zion Church of Staten Island, where her devotion to her Christian faith brought her great comfort and wonder. She traveled extensively, including trips to Europe and Israel, studying scripture and deepening her faith. An avid reader, she found solace and enrichment in books throughout her life.

Audrey will be remembered for her selflessness by those who knew her best. Let us honor her memory by embodying the true altruism she exemplified in life.
