Arnold H Ward, Sr.

Arnold H. Ward, Sr., a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ, at the age of 79. He was born in Perth Amboy, NJ in 1944 to the loving parents Sophie and Walter Ward.

Arnold was a true master of his craft, known for his exceptional skills as a plumber. Beyond his professional pursuits, he found immense joy in casting lines into the waters, indulging in his passion for fishing. However, it was in the embrace of his grandchildren that Arnold discovered his greatest source of happiness.

A dedicated provider, Arnold worked tirelessly to care for both his immediate family and the extended clan. His relentless work ethic was a testament to his unwavering commitment to those he loved.
Arnold is now reunited with his siblings Charles Ward, Chester Ward, and Christina Ward, who preceded him in passing.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Kathleen Horan-Ward, his son Arnold Ward, Jr., and stepchildren Robert Horan (Tia) of Kansas City, Missouri, Joseph Horan (Christina Smith) of Avenel, NJ, and Anthony Horan (Kimberly Horan) of Carteret, NJ. Arnold is also survived by his dear siblings Andrew Ward of Virginia, Brenda Wolfe (Donny) of PA, and Walter Ward of Perth Amboy, NJ.

Arnold's legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren: Jillian Horan, Olivia Horan, Alicia Horan, Brittnay Pavlichko, Eddie Karrick, Brayanna Karrick, and Lisa Ward, as well as his great-grandchild, Brittany Ward. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

A celebration of Arnold's remarkable life will be held at Aftercare Cremation Service, 241 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy, NJ 08879, on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Please join us in commemorating a life well-lived and a man deeply loved.
